Japanese film Come on Irene (Itoshi no Irene) will be screening in PH theaters on July 31.
Viva International Pictures announced through its facebook page that the film will be opening in local cinemas nationwide.
Based on a 1990s manga series created by Hideki Arai, the film tells a story of a 42-year old Japanese man who left his rural village and then returns with a Filipina bride. Directed by Keisuke Yoshida, the film starred Ken Yasuda and Filipina actress Natileigh Sitoy.
The film was first released in Japan in September 2018. It was also previously screened at the QCinema International Film Festival.
